Pokémon Go: What You Need to Know
You check your Facebook and all you can read is the Pokémon Go fad. You are wondering what that is. Well, you are not alone. Most Singaporeans are wondering what that fad is about. Pokémon Go is a reality mobile game developed by Niantic. It gives the players out of this world gaming experience. The game is free for everyone but there are in-app purchases that you can add. This is available for Android and iOS users.
Pokémon Go is a new game just released this July 6, 2016. When it was released, there were good reviews which was the reason why it quickly became a fad with just weeks after its release. In fact, it surpassed the record seized by the Candy Crush Saga. Pokémon Go is actually a great help to the stock value held by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. As of July 20, more than thirty million people worldwide downloaded the game. There is no doubt that the game quickly turned out to be one of the most used applications.
The player needs to establish an account first then create an avatar by choosing skin, hair and eye color including outfit and style. After the avatar, there will be a display that will show your current location, map, Pokémon gyms (this will serve as combat locations) and PokéStops (will provide players with items Poke balls, eggs, potions and lures). As you go along, your avatar will move along the map.
You should know that Pokémon species live in different parts of the world. When you encounter a Pokémon, you can see it either in Augmented Reality (AR) mode or a live background. You do not battle a Pokémon. The ultimate goal of the game is to capture and complete the Pokédex – a Pokémon encyclopedia. You should capture and evolve to attain the unique 151 Pokémons. If you want to catch Pokémons, make sure that you have higher combat power.
The game is praised by many but others said otherwise. Medical professionals actually claimed that it improved the physical and mental health of the players. For others, it attracted dispute because of some reports that it caused accidents as well as being a nuisance at some public areas. Despite of how people see it, if you like the game, just continue playing.
If you are serious about this, you should study it first and then move your way up. Though the ultimate goal is easy, the journey you need to endure is challenging and sometimes daunting. Good luck!
